Allergy ReLeaf System
This review takes a look at the unique approach Allergy ReLeaf System takes, offering a 2 supplement package deal aimed to combat allergy symptoms: Allertonic and Quercetin AllerReLeaf. We examined labels and perused customer reviews in order to compile a comprehensive report on this product. Continue reading this review to see if this is the seasonal allergy supplement for you.
While a 2 bottle package may look impressive, we were slightly confused as to why the manufacturer didn’t simply put all the ingredients in one product. The way the manufacturer has designed the product, the consumer is required to take one of each supplement together every time they use the product. Why not simply create one supplement? We think this concept of creating 2 products with the same purpose is unnecessary and redundant.
Allertonic contains just a proprietary blend of various herbs. There are some notable ingredients here such as Nettle and Mullein, however besides these, there are no others that really stand out as being particularly effective for allergy sufferers. The second product, Quercetin AllerReLeaf has more prominent ingredients, such as Vitamin C and Quercetin which are powerful antioxidants as well as Turmeric that acts as a natural immune booster.
Unfortunately there is only 200 mg Vitamin C per daily serving, which is significantly lower than our first choice. In addition, the manufacturer did not use the more bioavailable form of Quercetin, Quercefit®, which absorbs more efficiently than regular Quercetin.
A few other disappointments we came across with this product is that it is not vegan friendly, since Allertonic has gelatin, it is not GMP certified and it does not have a clear money-back guarantee. The guarantee issue seems to be a bit confusing because in one section of the manufacturer’s website it is written that there is an unconditional guarantee, but then under their terms and conditions, it clearly states that the guarantee is valid for just 30 days. This is misleading and should be corrected.
Is Allergy ReLeaf System Effective?
This product falls short with its list of ingredients and the amounts. We feel that 200 mg of Vitamin C is not nearly enough to make a significant difference, and Quercetin is nowhere near as bioavailable as Quercefit® would be. This formula has no mention of Vitamin A, Beta Glucan or PA free Butterbur which significantly decreases its potential. In addition, we are left in the dark regarding the amount of each ingredient that appears in the proprietary blend so it is impossible to tell how effective it could be.
Unfortunately, the issue with the satisfaction guarantee left us confused. On the one hand the manufacturer states that there is an unconditional guarantee on each of their products. This would be hugely impressive if this was the case, because a manufacturer who backs up their product with a money-back satisfaction guarantee, shows us that they have full confidence in the efficacy of their product. However, under the terms and conditions it stated that the guarantee is only valid for a mere 30 days. We found this surprising and somewhat deceptive.
We also looked at consumer reviews to get a better sense of whether this product is effective and came across mixed reactions.
We were unable to find any reviews on the website and Amazon showed very mixed reviews. We were happy to see that the product comes with a money-back guarantee as many customers have needed to use it.
Is Allergy ReLeaf System Safe?
There are no mentioned side effects of taking this product. As with any new supplement or diet introduced into your daily life, we always advise talking to your healthcare professional about possible contraindications of any pre-existing medical conditions or medications that you are taking. Supplements work differently for everyone and the effects vary between individuals so it is always a good idea to run any health changes with a professional.
We noted that although the manufacturer states that this product has undergone third-party testing, there is no mention of the company that administered this testing.
Summary
Allergy ReLeaf System gives off a very impressive appearance, with 2 separate products sold as one system to combat seasonal allergies. We think having two separate products is a bit of an outreach and unnecessary. While they each complement each other, we feel it would be more effective and easier on the consumer if it was just one product. Looking at the combined ingredients of both products in Allergy ReLeaf System, we still came up short with a number of key ingredients missing or with ineffective amounts. This product contains only 200 mg Vitamin C which is less than half of what our first choice offers. It contains Quercetin, but not the bioavailable form Quercefit, and while it also contains Nettle and Mullein, we don’t know how much because they are part of a proprietary blend with no amounts listed.
We also encountered some confusion regarding the money-back satisfaction guarantee as it says on the website that there is an unconditional guarantee offered on all their products, however under their terms and conditions it said it was only for 30 days. This, together with the mixed reviews we came across online, was not enough to push this product higher on our review list.
