Vital Nutrients Aller-C Review
Vital Nutrients is a well-known supplement brand and so we were excited to investigate their formulation of a seasonal allergy product. Vital Nutrients is a company committed to providing their customers with premium quality products. However, does this product have what it takes to effectively relieve allergy symptoms and boost a healthy immune system? We investigated the ingredients included in this supplement and found it came up slightly short when compared to our first product.
This is one of the few products we found that offers a generous amount of Vitamin C per daily serving. Boasting a whopping 900 mg Vitamin C, we were excited to see what else the formula has to offer. Vitamin C is a crucial addition to an allergy supplement as it is a natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and has immune boosting properties. These benefits are magnified when Vitamin C is paired with Citrus Bioflavonoids, which we were also happy to see are included in this formula. We were however, slightly disappointed that the Citrus Bioflavonoids are part of a proprietary blend where we can’t tell how much of this specific ingredient is included. We generally applaud proprietary blends, however when the exact amounts of each ingredient is hidden, it shoots up a red flag for us because it appears that the company is hiding information from their customers. We believe a formula should be completely transparent so the consumers know exactly what they’re putting into their body.
We were also disappointed to see some main ingredients missing from this formula. Aller-C doesn’t include the registered ingredient Quercefit® which is 20 times more bioavailable than regular Quercetin, nor does it have Vitamin A, Beta Glucan or Nettle. These ingredients are vital additions to help the body inhibit the release of histamine which is the cause of allergic reactions, as well as offer antiviral properties.
This product is produced in a GMP certified facility and does not contain any additives or artificial ingredients. While we did find a number of positive comments online, the manufacturer does not offer a satisfaction guarantee.
Is Vital Nutrients Aller-C Effective?
The two main indicators we look at to tell whether a product is effective or not are a satisfaction guarantee offered by the manufacturer, and the comments from actual customers online. We were happy to find quite a few comments online that were mainly positive reviews claiming that this product did work for them. We believe that 900 mg of Vitamin C should definitely be effective as it is more than double of what most other allergy supplements offer. We were disappointed that this product didn’t include scientifically researched ingredients such as Quercefit® and Nettle.
The second indicator we looked at was a money-back satisfaction guarantee. We were very disappointed that there was none offered by the manufacturer. We feel this is an easy way to instill a sense of confidence in your customers by proving to them that you have nothing to lose. While we were impressed with the positive reviews we found, we were disappointed that the manufacturer does not offer a grace period for their customers to try out their products.
Is Vital Nutrients Aller-C Safe?
We did not find any ingredients in this product that would cause it to be unsafe, such as un-certified stimulant ingredients or questionable herbs. In general, Vital Nutrients Aller-C is deemed to be a safe herbal supplement if taken according to the proper recommendations. There are no reported side effects and it can be taken with most medications.
As a general rule, it is always recommended to speak to your doctor before taking any new supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have any health conditions or are taking other medications.
Summary
We were immediately drawn to Vital Nutrients Aller-C because of the generous 900 mg amount of Vitamin C per daily serving. This amount of Vitamin C is very impressive and we appreciate that the company had the integrity to pair the Vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavonoids. This is a winning combo as the Citrus Bioflavonoids boost the absorption of Vitamin C and escalate its benefits. While we do appreciate the addition of Citrus Bioflavonoids, we would have liked to see an exact amount instead of a proprietary blend where it is difficult to tell how effective the ingredient is because we don’t know how much of it is in the formula. However, we feel that there are many ingredients that were lacking in this formula, such as Quercefit®, Vitamin A, 1,3/1,6 Beta Glucan and Nettle that would have given this formula an extra boost and help relieve allergy symptoms.
Another aspect that assured our confidence in recommending this product are the positive reviews we found online. We did find a fair number of customers who claimed this product did help them with their allergies. However, we would have liked to see this backed up by a money-back guarantee offered by the manufacturer. Unfortunately with regards to the guarantee, we were disappointed. We have higher expectations and would have liked to see the manufacturer backup his product with a guarantee.
